Black Elk Energy Offshore Gulf Platform Explosion

A tragedy has befallen many hard working offshore Americans on a production platform owned by Black Elk Energy off the coast of Grand Isle and New Iberia located in West Delta Block 32. So far it is reported that as many as 11 workers are seriously injured and being treated in Jefferson Parish, while as many as 4 workers are missing after an explosion occurred in the early morning hours. The extent of the injuries and number of workers affected by this disaster is not confirmed at this time, but our thoughts and prayers lay with their families and them.

The explosion of the production platform owned by Black Elk Energy off the coast of Grand Isle and New Iberia located in West Delta Block 32 is the second major disaster related to the elpoitation and exploration of mineral in the gulf of Mexico in as many years, coming on the heels of criminal guilty pleas entered by British Petroleum as a result of the Deepwater Horizon explosion just hours before this incident.
