U.S. Crewmembers on Edison Chouest Vessel Kidnapped Off Nigerian Coast

Two crewmembers of the MV C-Retriever were kidnapped off that vessel by pirates while working offshore Brass, Nigeria. The Captain and Chief Engineer were reportedly kidnapped off the American-flagged, offshore supply vessel MV C-Retriever while it worked off Nigeria, in increasingly dangerous West African waters, early Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Reports suggest the Captain and Chief Engineer may have made it onto land with the kidnappers.
