There was a fire on an offshore oil platform operated by PEMEX in the Gulf of Mexico on April 1, 2015.  The incident occurred on the company’s Abkatún platform, part of PEMEX’s Abkatún-Pol-Chuc complex in the Bay of Campeche, offshore Mexico.  Early reports indicate four workers were killed in the fire, with an additional sixteen injured.  Others remain missing at this time.  Three of the deceased workers were employed by Cotemar, and one by PEMEX.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this tragic accident.
