Spagnoletti & Co. Law Firm recently filed suit on behalf of two individuals who were injured during a February 2017 explosion at a natural gas processing plant located near Venice, Louisiana.  At the time of the explosion, the two Plaintiffs were welders and were positioned on scaffolding to perform work on the pipeline. Shortly after Plaintiffs began working that morning, there was an explosion, resulting in severe physical injuries.  The lawsuit has been filed against Targa Resources Corp., Targa Resources Partners, L.P. and Venice Energy Services Company.

The lawsuit alleges the Companies were negligent in:

(a) failing to properly select, hire, train and manage Defendants’ employees;
(b) failing to properly select, hire, train and manage independent contractors working on the pipeline;
(c) failing to implement proper and adequate safety methods and/or procedures;
(d) failing to take reasonable precautions for Plaintiffs’ safety; and
(e) failing to provide Plaintiffs with a reasonably safe place to work.

The Plaintiffs are represented by Marcus R. Spagnoletti and Eric J. Rhine.
