There was an explosion on board a boat near the Weatherford Lake Marina on Saturday afternoon. Reports indicate that the vessel had just picked up gas from the marina prior to the explosion and fire. There were at least six passengers on board, including a two year old child who sustained significant burn injuries. Four passengers were taken via helicopter to a nearby hospital while the remaining two were taken via ambulance. The cause of the explosion is unknown at this time.
