An explosion in the engine room of the ro-ro ferry Blue Horizon on August 24, 2020 injured four crew members. Luckily, at the time of the explosion, the vessel was in port in Crete, and had no passengers on board. The injured crew members have been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The Blue Horizon is a passenger vessel owned by the Greece-based company Blue Star Ferries. The vessel can carry up to 1488 passengers and 780 cars.
