Ship Collision off China Coast – 14 Missing

Reports indicate an oil tanker carrying 3,000 tons of gasoline collided with a cargo ship in the mouth of the Yangtze river near Shanghai, China on Thursday August 20, 2020.  The collision resulted in a fire on the tanker, and the ultimate sinking of the cargo ship.  The identity of the involved vessels has not been released at this time.

Tragically, fourteen crewmembers are reported missing, as search and rescue efforts continue.
