A plane carrying two people crashed on Sunday, August 16, 2020, near the Susanville Airport. The two victims have been identified by family members as Redding couple Kevin Fore and Krista Holstrom.
The crash occurred shortly after takeoff. According to an eyewitness, the plane was flying between 400 and 500 ft. in the air when the engine stalled. The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, have identified the plane as a single engine Piper PA 14 airplane.
