Boating Accident in Indian River County, Florida

A boat ran aground in an accident on Thursday on the east coast of Florida.  Two people were critically injured in the crash, with a third passenger also sustaining injuries.  Reports indicate the vessel ran ashore on an island just south of the Alma Lee Loy Bridge.  The two critically injured passengers were taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce, Florida for treatment.  An investigation will be conducted by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
