Cargo Plane Crashes in Peru – 4 Injured

A plane crashed while attempting to land at Iquitos Airport, Peru.  The plane, an AerCaribe Antonov An-32 cargo plane, caught on fire after the crash.  On attempting to land at the airport, the plane reported problems with its landing gear.  The four crewmembers on board suffered injuries and required hospitalization.

The Antonov AN-32 was manufactured in Ukraine, first coming into production in 1982. In total, 373 of the planes were manufactured.
