Bulk Carrier CAPE KALLIA Strikes Fishing Boat – Four Missing

The bulk carrier ship CAPE KALLIA struck a fishing boat in the morning on November 17, 2020.  At the time, the vessels were in the Indian Ocean.  The fishing boat sank, and at least four crew members remain missing.  The CAPE KALLIA was en route from China to Hedland Australia.  Search and rescue efforts continue to search for any survivors.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this tragedy.

The vessel was built in 2012.  The registered owner is Atlantic Galaxy Marine Ltd.  The vessel is operated by Transmed Maritime Ltd.
