Two Killed in South Texas Small Plane Crash

A plane crashed on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, in South Texas.  At the time, the plane was attempting to land at the Port Isabel-Cameron County Airport.  The plane has been described as a glider with an engine attached to it.  The victims have been identified as Grover Abel, 78, of Houston and Kai Uwe Wulff, 51, of Brownsville.

There have been a number of recent plane crashes in the state.   On December 10, a plane crashed in Manvel, Texas after striking power lines.  On December 8, a pilot lost his life in Galveston while trying to stop a runaway plane.  On November 10, two died in a crash in Rockwall, Texas.
