The National Transportation Safety Board has announced it will investigate the massive accident involving over 100 vehicles, including numerous 18-wheelers in Fort Worth, Texas on February 11, 2021. The accident occurred on Interstate 35-West north of downtown Fort Worth. The region was hit hard by winter storms at the time of the accident, causing multiple accidents in the region. Reports indicate that a total of 133 vehicles were involved in the accident. Six individuals have been confirmed dead, and at least 65 people received medical treatment afterwards. Local authorities have identified the victims as: Tiffany Gerred, 34, of Northlake; Aaron Watson, 45, of Fort Worth; Michael Wells, 47, of Justin; Christopher Vardy, 49, of Boyd; William Williams, 54, of Pahoa, Hawaii; and Tamara Mendoza Querales of Fort Worth

There was a deadly accident involving an 18-wheeler on Southeast Loop 410 in San Antonio, Texas on January 19, 2021. On January 13, 2021, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by an 18-wheeler in Houston, Texas. On December 19, 2020 there was an 18-wheeler accident in College Station with multiple injuries reported. On December 8, 2020 an 18-wheeler struck multiple vehicles in San Angelo, causing multiple people to be injured.
