4 people have been confirmed dead, with an additional 159 unaccounted for at present.  Search and rescue operations remain ongoing.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this tragedy.

Condo owners and operators must take precautions to ensure the safety of everyone who lives in a residential building.  Maintenance and repair work must be done, and buildings should be regularly and properly inspected.  Hazards must be carefully evaluated to minimize the dangers to members of the public.
