Helicopter Crashes in Montana – Five Injured

There was a helicopter crash in Montana on June 15, 2021.  The helicopter, operated by the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, crashed while responding to the Deep Creek Fire in Townsend, Montana.  It is unclear what caused the crash of the helicopter.  There were five personnel on board, who were transported to medical facilities in Townsend and Helena, Montana.

There have been a number of recent helicopter crashes.  Five workers were injured in a helicopter crash at a drilling rig operated by Diamond Offshore on June 2, 2021.  There was a helicopter crash in Kearny County, Kansas on May 18, 2021. There was a helicopter crash in Yukon, Oklahoma on May 12, 2021.  A Bell 429 helicopter crashed in Eden, North Carolina on April 28, 2021. There was a helicopter crash in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania on April 22, 2021.  A Robinson R66 crashed in South Londonderry Township, Pennsylvania on April 3, 2021. There was a deadly helicopter crash near Knik Glacier, Alaska on March 27, 2021, killing five out of six people on board.
