Helicopter Crash in Sevier County, Tennessee – One Dead, One Injured

There was a helicopter crash in Sevier County, Tennessee on December 29, 2021.  The Robinson helicopter took off from the Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge Airport in Sevierville, Tennessee.  The helicopter crashed near the Hooper Highway near Apple Tree Lane.  The pilot on board was killed in the crash, with the passenger receiving critical injuries.  According to FAA records the helicopter is registered to November Alpha LLC.  The cause of this incident remains under investigation.

There have been a number of recent helicopter crashes.  A Bell 407 Helicopter crashed in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana on December 14, 2021.  There was a helicopter crash in Saint Louis, Missouri on December 2, 2021.  There was a helicopter crash in Noble County, Oklahoma on November 28, 2021.  A Bell 47 helicopter crashed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on November 20, 2021.
