Two Cargo Ships Collide in China – 3 Dead, 5 Missing

Two cargo ships collided near Shanghai on December 13, 2020, causing one of the ships to capsize.  At the time, the vessels were near in the Yangtze River Estuary.  The Oceana, lost power in the estuary as a result of an electrical fire.  Following this, there was a collision with the Xin Qi Sheng 69, a Chinese cargo ship.  The Xin Qi Sheng 69 capsized with 16 crew members on board.  At least three people have died, and numerous crew members remain missing.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this tragedy.
