Spagnoletti Law Firm recently filed suit on behalf of a Jones Act seaman who was injured while working for Kirby Inland Marine. The worker was injured when attempting to board the vessel while it was at Kirby’s dock. Unfortunately, he slipped and sustained significant physical injuries. The lawsuit alleges that Kirby Inland Marine committed the following acts of negligence:
(a) failing to provide safe ingress on to the vessel; (b) failing to maintain the vessel and her appurtenances and/or equipment in a safe and reasonable state of repair; (c) failing to take reasonable precautions for Plaintiff’s safety; and, (d) failing to provide Plaintiff with a reasonably safe place to work.
