Explosion at Ardmore, Oklahoma Asphalt Plant – One Dead

There was an explosion at the Asphalt Express plant located in Ardmore, Oklahoma on July 16, 2021.  It is unknown what caused the explosion at this point in time.  One person was killed in the explosion.  No one was injured.  The identity of the victim has not yet been released by local authorities.

There have been a number of incidents at industrial and processing plants.  There was a fire at the Olin Epoxy Plant located in Crawford County, Georgia on July 16, 2021.  One person was killed in an explosion at the Calpine Natural Gas Generation Plant in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 18, 2021.There was a fire at the Valero Energy Corp. refinery in Port Arthur, Texas on June 10, 2021. Seven workers were injured in an explosion at the Evraz Rocky Mountain Steel plant in Pueblo, Colorado on May 29, 2021. There was an explosion at the Ergon petroleum processing plant in Newell, West Virginia on May 29, 2021. There was a fire and explosion at the Kosan Crisplant propane plant in Marshfield, Missouri on May 13, 2021.
