There was a deadly multi-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler in Panola County, Texas on December 11, 2021. The accident occurred about 5:20 a.m. on SH 315 near Carthage, Texas. Reports indicate that the driver of an 18-wheeler was headed westbound on State Highway 315 approaching the intersection of County Road 106. At the intersection, a driver of a second 18-wheeler was stopped waiting to turn left onto CR 106. A passenger pickup-truck was stopped behind the second 18-wheeler. As the initial 18-wheeler approached the stopped vehicles, it failed to come to a stop before striking the pickup-truck from behind.
