18-Wheeler Accident in San Augustine County, Texas

There was a crash involving an 18-wheeler in San Augustine County, Texas on January 4, 2022.  The accident occurred on State Highway 103 at approximately 6:00 p.m.  Reports indicate an 18-wheeler was attempting to back into a driveway.  As it did so, the truck blocked the lanes of travel on the highway.  A pickup truck struck the 18-wheeler as a result.  The driver of the pickup has been identified as Whitt Smith.  He was transported via air ambulance to a hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.
