Worker Killed in Church Point, Louisiana Industrial Accident

There was a deadly industrial accident in Church Point, Louisiana on March 17, 2022.  According to reports, a worker at the Richard Cajun Food Corporation’s Church Point meat-packing plant was killed.  The victim fell into a piece of equipment, resulting in his death.  The equipment was stopped when it was realized the worker was missing, but he was unable to be saved.  The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Todd Wheeler of Rayne, Louisiana.  The incident remains under investigation.
