There was an explosion at the Vitro Flat Glass Manufacturing Plant in Wichita Falls, Texas on August 7, 2022. According to reports, there was a leak of hot molten gas at a furnace inside the plant which resulted in the explosion. Nine workers were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
