Deadly Fall Accident in Mentor, Ohio

There was a deadly construction accident in Mentor, Ohio on May 11, 2023.  According to reports, a worker fell from an elevated lift while painting the Hendricks Bridge.  The victim is believed to have been working for Beaver Excavating Company.  Police believe the lift may have opened unexpectedly while being lowered.  The worker sustained head injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The victim has been identified as Raul Perez.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this deadly accident.
