Construction Worker Killed in Catawba County, North Carolina

There was a deadly construction accident in Catawba County, North Carolina on June 26, 2023.  According to reports, a worker was struck by a passing vehicle on Highway 150.  The victim and a co-worker were placing traffic cones on the roadway when the incident occurred.  The victim has been identified as Ryan Tanner of Valdese, North Carolina.  His co-worker sustained injuries in the incident, and was taken to the Catawba Valley Medical Center for care.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this tragic accident.
