There was an 18-wheeler crash in Eddy County, New Mexico on August 4, 2023. The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 62/180. An 18-wheeler and pickup truck were traveling northbound on the roadway. As a result of a lane change, the two vehicles collided. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at a hospital in Carlsbad. The victim has been identified as Jurado Jerome Escarcega.
