There was a deadly 18-wheeler crash in Lake Charles, Louisiana on September 7, 2023. The crash occurred at the intersection of West Tank Farm Road and Big Lake Road. According to reports, an 18-wheeler failed to yield at a stop sign. As a result, a passenger vehicle impacted the 18-wheeler, before both vehicles drove off the roadway. There were three people in the passenger vehicle. The front seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A backseat passenger was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The two victims have been identified as Jose Samaniego and Cesar Samaniego, both residents of Port Arthur, Texas.
