Deadly Trench Collapse Accident in San Francisco, California

There was a deadly construction accident in San Francisco, California on September 28, 2023.  According to reports, a contractor was killed while working on a sewer project.  During the incident, the worker became trapped under 8-10 feet of dirt and concrete.  Firefighters attempted to save the worker, removing the debris on top of him via a street vacuum.  The worker was pronounced dead at the scene.   The accident remains under investigation.
