There was an explosion of a gas line in Wappingers Falls, New York on November 2, 2023. According to reports, a gas line exploded after being ruptured by a piece of equipment during routine maintenance work. A multi-family residence collapsed as a result of the blast. At least 10 people sustained injuries in the explosion and collapse. Numerous first responders were also injured during rescue efforts. The cause of the incident remains under investigation at this time.
