Future Motion recently issued a recall of approximately 300,000 Onewheel Self-Balancing Electric Skateboards due to reports of accidents and fatalities. Effective September 29th, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has raised concerns about these skateboards’ inability to balance riders at speeds exceeding their limits, which could result in serious injuries or fatalities.
This recall follows four reported deaths between 2019 and 2021 and various severe injuries, including traumatic brain injury, paralysis, fractures, and ligament damage. Fatalities and injuries have significantly heightened safety concerns about these popular electric skateboards, favored by thrill-seekers and commuters for their innovative design and versatility.

• Onewheel Pint
