Explosion at Waste Plant in Bridgeport, Connecticut

There was a fire and explosion at a Tradebe Environmental hazardous waste plant in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 29, 2023.  The explosion resulted in injuries to three people at the plant.  Two are believed to have sustained burn injuries, and a third was injured due to smoke inhalation.

There have been a number of incidents at industrial and manufacturing plants.  There was a fire at Marathon Petroleum’s Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City, Texas on December 13, 2023.  There was an explosion at the Trelleborg Fabrics Production Plant in Rutherfordton, North Carolina on December 15, 2023.  There was a deadly industrial accident in Bromley, Kentucky on December 14, 2023.  There was a deadly accident in Centertown, Kentucky on December 20, 2023.
