Cirrus SR20 Involved in Plane Crash in Sanford, Florida

A small plane crashed in Sanford, Florida on February 27, 2024.  The plane, a single-engine Cirrus SR20, crashed at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport.  According to reports, the plane landed short, and collided with a parked plane at the airport.  Two people were in the Cirrus plane at the time.  The crash remains under investigation.

There have been a number of recent plane crashes in 2024.  A Beechjet 400A crashed while attempting to take off in Bentonville, Arkansas on February 14, 2024.  A Cessna 172 crashed in Volusia County, Florida on February 16, 2024.  A Cessna Skyhawk crashed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on February 16, 2024.  A Piper PA-28 crash-landed in Suffolk County, New York on February 20, 2024.  A Piper PA 32 Cherokee Six crashed in Jackson County, Ohio on February 24, 2024.  A Bellanca 17-30A plane made an emergency landing in Cape Coral, Florida on February 24, 2024.
