A fatal crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck claimed the life of a Big Spring man early Saturday morning on Interstate 20 in Martin County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The collision occurred around 5:00 a.m. on December 13, 2025, near mile marker 158. Authorities reported that a 2006 Chrysler 300 and a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer were both traveling westbound when the crash occurred. The driver of the Chrysler, identified as 45-year-old Agustin Ruiz of Big Spring, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Freightliner was not reported to have suffered serious injuries. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
