Lawsuit Filed for Injured Oilfield Worker

Spagnoletti Law Firm recently filed suit on behalf of an oilfield worker who was severely injured during a February 2019 worksite incident while working on a project for  Murphy Oil Corporation in Three Rivers, Texas.  At the time of the violent accident, the Plaintiff lost two fingers when his hand was caught in a blow-out preventer.   The lawsuit has been filed against Murphy Oil Corporation and Murphy Exploration & Production Company.

The lawsuit alleges the Companies were negligent in:

(A) Failing to provide a safe work place for Plaintiff, as a person of ordinary prudence would have, under the same or similar circumstances;
(B) Failing to properly train its employees at the site;
(C) Failing to provide proper equipment to perform the job;
(D) Failing to oversee the operations and work being performed;
(E) Failing to warn Plaintiff regarding the defective blowout preventer;
(F) Failure to take any means or precautions for the safety of the workers present, including plaintiff;(G) Failure to provide adequate personnel for the job in question; and,
(H) Failing to inspect, maintain, and/or repair the defective blowout preventer.
