A helicopter crashed in a marsh on the south shore of Long Island, New York on Wednesday afternoon. According to the FAA, there was heavy fog in the area. The helicopter, a Bell206B, crashed into 1-4 foot of standing water. The pilot was the only person on board, and sustained injuries in the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
