There was a small plane crash in Cherokee County, Texas on September 26, 2021. The plane, a single-engine Cessna 182, was traveling from the Cherokee County Airport to a private landing strip. Due to windy conditions, the plane landed too fast, ultimately leaving the runway and hitting trees. The pilot was transported to UT-Health East Texas Jacksonville for medical treatment.
