Small Plane Crash in Northwest Harris County, Texas

There was a small plane crash near Houston, Texas on February 17, 2022.  The plane, a 2007 Pitts, crashed while landing on the runway at the David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport.  Reports indicate the plane experienced a loss of power on the runway, resulting in it striking a guardrail.  The plane then flipped several times.  The pilot was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  The crash remains under investigation.

There have been a number of recent plane crashes in 2022.  A Cessna 152 crashed in Fort Worth, Texas on February 9, 2022.  A Mooney M20J crashed on a golf course in Houston, Texas on February 11, 2022.  There was a small plane crash in Olathe, Kansas on February 13, 2022.  A Pilatus PC-12/47 crashed off the Outer Banks of North Carolina on February 13, 2022.  A Beechcraft Barron crashed in North Carolina with one person on board on February 16, 2022.
