There was a small plane crash near Lake Iliamna, Alaska on March 5, 2022. The plane, a Cessna 206, crashed with five people on board. Helicopter rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and all five on board were transported to Anchorage area hospitals. According to FAA records, the plane is owned by Send North. The crash remains under investigation.
