The chemical tanker CETUS sank on May 27, 2022. At the time of the incident, the vessel was 135 nautical miles north of the island of Aruba. After experiencing an engine failure, the tanker began sinking. A distress call was made, and both the Caribbean Coast Guard and United States Coast Guard assisted with search and rescue operations.
