Boat Capsizes near Shamrock Cove, Texas

There was a boating accident near Shamrock Cove, Texas on July 28, 2022.  According to reports, a sail boat capsized with one person on board.  The Coast Guard Corpus Christi command center was able to send a boat in order to rescue the boater before the incident turned tragic.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  A pilot was killed during a boarding accident involving the product tanker ALHENA on July 18, 2022.  A fire broke out on a small boat on Lake Lanier in Georgia on July 24, 2022.  There was an explosion on the tug boat BLUE DRAGON on July 23, 2022.  There was a fire on board the cargo ship NOVA on July 26, 2022.  There was a boating accident in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 26, 2022.
