There was a collision between two small fishing boats in Aransas Pass, Texas on September 10, 2022. The collision occurred around 6:30 am in the Aransas Pass in front of Cline’s Landing. At least one person went overboard from one of the boats as a result. A nearby vessel pulled the person out of the water and performed CPR, but it was unsuccessful. The victim has been identified as local fishing guide Gary Cooper. The accident remains under investigation.
