Port of Corpus Christi to Open Solar Farm

by | Sep 4, 2022 | Maritime Law, Oilfield Accidents, Personal Injury

The Port of Corpus Christi has announced plans to develop a solar farm in San Patricio County.  The Port has entered an agreement with Buckeye Partners LP to develop the solar farm.  The operations are set to commence in late 2025.  The solar farm will be built on land the Port of Corpus Christi owns.

Despite the importance of a project like this to the local Corpus Christi economy, safety must still be paramount.   Whether it is safe construction practices or regular maintenance and inspections, the safety of everyone involved is the most important thing.  When  operators fail to conduct regular maintenance and inspection of the equipment, dangerous incidents can result.  This not only puts the lives of hardworking seamen at risk, but can also endanger members of the public.  It can be dangerous to work in any industry when safety considerations are not taken seriously.  Safe maritime companies must be proactive and take preventative measures.
