There was a helicopter crash off the coast of Louisiana on October 26, 2022. According to reports, a Bell 407 helicopter with three people on board crashed south of Morgan City, Louisiana. One person was killed in the crash, and two sustained critical injuries. After the crash, the platform crew boat Captain Ron found the two surviving passengers in a life raft. They were eventually rescued via a Coast Guard helicopter. The helicopter was operated by Westwind Helicopter Inc. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
