A small plane was involved in a crash in Gaithersburg, Maryland on November 27, 2022. The plane, a single-engine Mooney M20J, crashed into power lines near the Montgomery County Airpark. During the crash, the plane became stuck in the lines, hanging roughly 100 feet over the ground. The plane’s two occupants were trapped in the wreckage for seven hours before being rescued. The two were transported to a local hospital for medical care.
