There was a deadly plane crash in Lavaca County, Texas on January 17, 2023. According to reports, a single-engine Piper PA-46-350P plane crashed about one mile from the Yoakum Municipal Airport. The plane was carrying five members of the Harvest Church in Germantown, Tennessee. Four of the occupants were killed in the crash, with one survivor who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Victoria, Texas. The four victims have been identified as Bill Garner, Steve Tucker, Tyler Patterson and Tyler Springer. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
