There was a small plane crash in Garland County, Arkansas on June 26, 2023. According to reports, a single-engine Cessna 177 crashed into Lake Hamilton. Prior to the crash the pilot reported distress and sought permission to land at an airport in Hot Springs, Arkansas. One person was killed in the crash, and had his body recovered by divers. An additional person was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. The accident remains under investigation.
