There was a helicopter crash near Utqiaġvik, Alaska on July 20, 2023. According to reports, a Bell 206 L4 helicopter crashed in the North Slope region of Alaska. In addition to the pilot, there were three Division of Geological and Geophysical Survey employees on board who were conducting fieldwork. The helicopter was operated by Maritime Helicopters, Inc.
