There was a helicopter crash in Oakdale, Illinois on July 31, 2023. According to reports, a Bell UH-1H “Huey” helicopter crashed in a field with only the pilot on board. It is believed the helicopter struck power lines before losing control and crashing in the field. The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
