Boat Accident in Orange Beach, Alabama

There was a boating accident in Orange Beach, Alabama on August 20, 2023.  According to initial reports, a small recreational boat collided with a barge near a boat ramp in the Intracoastal Waterway.  Five people on board the boat were injured in the collision, and taken to local hospitals for medical care.  The crash remains under investigation.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  There was a fire on the chemical tanker FALCON CHEMIST on August 19, 2023.  Two boats crashed in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland on August 19, 2023.  There was a crash between a deck boat and a Yamaha WaveRunner in Lake County, Illinois on August 19, 2023.  There was a deadly boat crash on Lake Palestine in Smith County, Texas on August 20, 2023.
