There was a deadly helicopter crash off the coast of the United Arab Emirates on September 7, 2023. According to reports, a Bell 212 helicopter crashed while en route to an offshore oil platform. The helicopter took off from the Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, before crashing. The helicopter was owned by Aerogulf. The body of one of the pilots has been recovered.
